HOW TO MAKE HEALTHY BANANA BREAD

my go-to recipe for a healthy banana bread

                                INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of 100% wholewheat flour
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • 2 tsp of nutmeg or cinnamon
  • 1 cup of oil/coconut or virgin oil
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar (demerara sugar)
  • 1tsp of vanilla extract

                               HOW I MAKE IT

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Add all the wet ingredients to a bowl; mash the bananas, then add eggs, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix together with a wooden spoon or a hand mixer. Then, go ahead and add all the dry ingredients to the same bowl. Combine everything together.

Prep your loaf tin by lightly spreading some butter evenly, or you can use baking paper then add the combined bread mixture to the loaf tin.

Pop your banana bread into the oven for 55 minutes. I normally check on it halfway through to see how it is doing. You want to make sure you pierce it with a knife, and once it comes out clean, then it is done. If not, then leave it in for 10 more minutes.

Take the loaf out of the oven and leave it to cool down on the rack.

The Perfect Apple Crumble Recipe

free

modify any sections or add personal anecdotes to make it.

Apple Crumble is a classic dessert that never goes out of style. With its warm, comforting flavours and crunchy topping, it’s perfect for fall and winter. It’s one of my favourite desserts! Today, I’ll share my go-to apple crumble recipe that’s easy to make and sure to impress.

Ingredients

For the Filling:

4 Bramley apples or Granny Smith (both work well)

2 tbsp white sugar

1 tsp nutmeg (or cinnamon, if you prefer)

For the Crumble Topping:

175g plain flour

50g Scottish rolled oats (or any chunky rolled oats)

100g Demerara sugar

175g unsalted butter (make sure it’s cold to achieve a crumbly texture)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan/Gas 4).

2. Peel and slice the apples into chunky pieces.

3. In a large pot over low to medium heat, add the chopped apples, sugar, and nutmeg (or your spice of choice). Stir until the apples are soft but not mushy.

4. Transfer the apple mixture to a ceramic or glass baking dish.

Step 2: Make the Crumble Topping

1. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, rolled oats, and Demerara sugar.

2. Add the cold, cubed butter a little at a time, rubbing it into the flour mixture. Continue until it resembles breadcrumbs and all the butter is incorporated.

3. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple filling.

Step 3: Bake

1. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.

2. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

Serving Suggestions

Apple crumble is delicious but pairs wonderfully with custard or vanilla ice cream. Drizzle some caramel sauce over the top for an extra touch before serving.

Tips for the Perfect Apple Crumble

Choose the right apples: A mix of sweet and tart apples can add depth to the flavour.

Make it ahead: You can prepare the apple filling and crumble topping in advance and assemble them just before baking.

Add nuts: For added texture, combine chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans into the crumble topping.

Conclusion

This apple crumble recipe is a crowd-pleaser that’s simple to make and packed with flavour. Whether you’re serving it at a dinner party or enjoying a cosy night in, this dessert is sure to warm your heart. Give it a try, and let me know how it turns out! own!

Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint  - This skin tint is the best for use in the daytime. It's lightweight and a little goes a long way. This is perfect to wear during the summer as it is not heavy. I recommend it for dry/ normal / combination skin to use. It gives my skin such a beautiful glow and hydration.

Hourglass Vanish Airbrush concealer "Dune"-  I love this concealer - it's a creamy formula and full coverage concealer. I also love how dewy it is and it lasts all day. It's also a buildable concealer.

Rhode Peptide tinted lip balm Moisturizing - The best lip balms are very hydrating, I tend to find a lot of lip balms on the market that can be very drying to the lips and cause flakiness. But these are such great lip balms very moisturising and love how tinted the colours are. I love the shade "toast and raspberry jelly" It smells delicious and is perfect for everyday use.

Anastasia Beverly Hills lip liner "sandstone" is my go-to lip liner - in love with the shade of brown, it compliments everyone's skin tone well. It pairs well with all shades of lipstick

Dior Multi-Use Foundation - This has been my current favourite foundation it's very lightweight, and I love that you can use it as a concealer and foundation. It melts into the skin and gives you an awakened look and honestly looks stunning. Dior always nails it for me on foundations.
